In partnership, the Fargo Public Library, Lake Agassiz Regional Library and West Fargo Public Library are launched an inaugural One Book One Community project in October 2012.  Join with The entire community joined in reading The Giver by Lois Lowry, and participated in related events.

Starting a Conversation, Building a Community

The Fargo, Moorhead, and West Fargo communities are renowned for their shared community spirit, and it is this collaboration and cooperation that sparked an initiative and partnership by F-M Area public libraries.

We enthusiastically encourage all members of our communities to join together in reading the same book, The Giver, by Lois Lowry, and participating in as many events and discussions as possible during the month of October 2012.

“The idea is that the city that opens the same book closes it in greater harmony.”
